Cosmic Mini - Aries Block
Welcome to the April Block from the Cosmic Collection! This month's quilt block/mini quilt is celebrating the season of Aries (March 21 - April 20). In case you didn't know, Aries is actually the first sign of the zodiac! This ram zodiac sign is a fire sign ruled by the planet Mars and is know to be individualistic, bold, and brave.
Cosmic Collection: 12 Zodiac Quilt Blocks
So what's the Cosmic Collection, you ask? I thought you'd never ask! The Cosmic Collection is a mini quilt of the month series where four designers have come together to bring you 12 Zodiac-inspired quilt blocks. The designers include me - Fran Gulick of @cottonandjoy, Julie Burton of @runningstitchquilts, Ben Millett of @benmillett, and Katie Hanson of @moderntextiles. You can purchase each block individually from each designer, or you can grab all 12 in the Cosmic Mini Quilt Bundle.
About The Block
The Aries quilt block/mini quilt is designed around the Aries Zodiac sign. This might have been the hardest block to design out of the 3 assigned to me, but I love the end result so much! I designed this quilt block, because Katie of Modern Textiles invited me along with the other designers to participate in the collaborative series. She already had the theme in mind, and since I love all things Zodiac/Cosmic, I couldn't say no. Plus, the blocks go perfectly with my Moonchild collection - check out the quilt mock-up below!
