Spring Quilt Patterns

Spring Quilt Patterns

Isn't it just amazing how everything seems to comes back to life in the springtime? The gardens are blooming and bursting with colors all while the temperatures are starting to warm up. Honestly, the sheer bliss of finally stepping outside without bundling up in layers is giving me so much joy.

This change in season and vibrant colors has been a massive inspiration for my creative mind. I've found myself gravitating toward a lot of my springy quilt patterns (and some Christmassy ones too - more on that at the end). If you're like me, you'll find this collection of quilt patterns refreshing and inviting! So, sit back and relax as I send a little bit of spring your way!

Hexie Blooms

Hexie Blooms is a modern take on the classic Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilts. This block-based pattern uses NO y-seams and no hand sewing, and it includes three design options for maximum flexibility – sew a scrappy version with fabric from your stash or your favorite precut, use FQs for a stunning full bloom version, or use yardage for a classic 2-color version.

Memi's Lemons

Memi’s Lemons is a fun and fresh modern quilt pattern, inspired by a grandmother’s love. Memi’s Lemons is a nod to my grandmother, Memi, and her beloved lemon tree that she had in the front yard of our home. Using block rotation and reflection, this pattern is full of fun whimsy. Memi’s Lemons is the perfect pattern for confident or advanced beginner sewists ready to try curves.

Copihue

The Copihue (pronounced co-pee-way) is the national flower of Chile, my home country. This modern quilt pattern was inspired by its distinct bell shape and uses block rotation and reflection for a modern look full of fun whimsy. Copihue is the perfect pattern for confident or advanced beginner sewists ready to try curves.

Annabelle

She's quirky, she's fun - meet Annabelle. This traditionally pieced quilt pattern features a playful and modern cow design. Get creative and let your imagination run wild with two fabric options - layer cakes or fat quarters - and three sizes.

Prairie Tracks

Prairie Tracks is a big block pattern inspired by spring. It combines the classic bear paw block and a tulip block for a stunning result. This versatile pattern can be made using 1/3 yard cuts, Fat Quarters, or scraps from your stash! This fun mix-and-match pattern is perfect for confident beginners.

Solstice Lights

Solstice Lights is a beginner-friendly, block-based quilt pattern that uses FQs or 1/3 yard cuts, plus suggestions are provided on making it scrappy using only your stash. The large blocks are great for showing off your favorite prints!

Garden Gems

Garden Gems is a beginner-friendly, block-based pattern. This pattern is the perfect opportunity to mix and match your favorite FQs and feature your favorite prints or solids in the center square.

Spring Quilt Color Palettes

I have a couple of what I consider to be "out-right Christmas quilt patterns." And while they make beautiful holiday quilts, with just a slight adjustment to the color choice, they make really pretty spring quilts too! My Cozy Village quilt mock-up below is very much "vegetable garden" vibes. And that Nordic Gnome one? Imagine setting up that Gnorman family in your flower garden!

Cozy Village

A companion to my South Hill fabric collection, Cozy Village is modern house block quilt pattern. The pattern includes three difference house blocks for a dynamic design.

Nordic Gnome

The Nordic Gnome quilt pattern is a joyful quilt inspired by gnomes often seen in Christmas and holiday markets throughout Europe. This pattern was originally part of the 2021 Quiltmas QAL as a standalone block. It received so much love that it's now a full pattern! Nordic Gnome is perfect for any season or holiday. It is block based, beginner friendly, and can use FQs or 10" precuts.
